an unofficial continuation of sabo and zebs recent global warmbeats album. three unreleased tracks by the duo plus a remix by oms j boogie. chock full of warm summer anthems.
through basic channel and rhythm and sound — his collaborations with mark ernestus — moritz von oswald first of all conjured from thin air, then comprehensively mapped out the grounds of a deep exchange between real deal jamaican dub and classic, detroit style techno. the duos accomplishment and influence are immense. the repercussions of their work within electronic dance music have been incalculable...
big with luciano, nick curly, ricardo villalobos, 2000 and one, matthias tanzmann... with sebo k & metro cecille signed two great artist from the capital city in germany, berlin. sebo k his already known for his great releases and remixes on mobilee records. now together with his friend and studio partner metro he produced a huge summer bomb. the great original version comes along with the deep and trippy feelin dub edit. reboots awesome twisted fist remix makes the b side and the whole record complete. hope you enjoy.
the ibizencos pacha resident sebastian gamboa delights us with muevelo follow up: feel it!! its exactly what you can expect from a perfect summer club tune!
roberto de carlo comes up with a combination of funk, soul, and gospel with electronic elements, remaining powerful and fresh. this revamped cover version performed by colin corvez and with incredible keyboard played by one of worlds most talented musicans in house music - simon grey. de carlo brings back to the club this d-train classic, who were and are one of the most exemplary post-disco/pre-house groups. next to roberto de carlos and diego auguannos classic versions this package includes remixes by san francisco based and salted music boss miguel migs who delivers a fantastic dub for peak time madness.
second installment by berlin based mri who successfully cultivated since 2002 some serious dance terrains. this release carries two outstanding and rare remixes as well as one original track. by taking techno deep into the mine shafts of dub, chain reactions / basic channel artist fluxion created an eerie, full-circle remix of the latter. you can hear that a man is at work who knows his gear well and is good in what he is doing. the production is brilliant, the selection of sounds superb, set-ups are constructed with caution, superimpositions are finely layered, propagations and ripenings are get going in a well-considered manner. dreadnaught bassline, steady hi-hats and lo-fi clips – a must for basic channel fans ! on the flip, young talented producer u.e.s. delivers the meanest blend of modern techno style and reduced shaped subs that just creams it on every system. and as well as both guys together does mri with original track rough. the „el castillo“ ep separates the styles over two sides and with „rough“ functioning as a wicked minimal techno track with shifted groove hinging on a grinding bassline - drives the track into abyssal techno territory. fans of basic channel and modern electronic music enthusiasts will be all over this beauty.
TIME FOR HOUSE (RETURN OF SHA, TOO HOT, NEXT DREAM )
12 Inch 07.07.09
phoniques unique vision of house music is continued with the next exciting release on his ladies & gentlemen imprint. serving as a teaser and a taster for the forthcoming >time for house< album, this ep holds three new and exclusive cuts. the album will feature these three lovely numbers, plus more hot new material from phonique, tigerskin, rubini and more. as the name suggests, >time for house< is an open-armed welcome into the blissful, warm and groovy, timeless house sound of l & g! dessous and poker flat key artist vincenzo has his say on the a side, with a long extended cut that gently builds lashings of tension and early morning drama with its deep stabbing push and open, floating breaks. as if we were soaring on the airy breeze of a warm summers evening, or raising our hands at an essential openair in berlin, >return of sha< captures that super elated feeling perfectly. vincenzo refines his sound once again, and marks a beautiful moment for the dancefloor, but also for more relaxed situations. fellow berliner tigerskin aka dub taylor aka alex kr³ger continues the summery, frozen-moment vibes with >too hot<. simple and classic synth hooks combine and layer to describe a chilled house jam that oozes positivity and good times. well known for his many aliases and wide variety of production styles, this track will not disappoint the deephouse heads out there, but will also please fans of his impeccable sound design and tasteful melodic abilities. belgiums kolombo aka olvier gregoire sends off the b side in style with his captivating classic deep dancefloor house exploration named >next dream<. wonderful, organic house sentiments meet characteristic percussion in this wonderfully sequenced conclusion to the ep. gregoire is by no means a newcomer, with countless releases and remixes under his belt, and the warmer-weather vibes of >next dream< works wonders as always!
raindance dates back to 1988 when it was produced by marshall jefferson and featured byron stinglys distinctive falsetto voice. however, despite being intended as the follow up to the classic i cant stay away it never ended up seeing the light of day due to contractual complications involving another artist covering the song.
jonny rock on disco45 he is known for his crazy approaches to house music on the flip you ll find a more techy edged remix by music for freaks mastermind luke solomon a must have record... limited backstock !!!
due to ongoing demand for this disco licked gem from amsterdams newworldaquarium, a special repress drops next week (yes, very out of the blue!) backed with a long lost dubbed out version from the man himself. special special stuff destined to fly out and not come back again for a long time.
killer new moby single!!! on pale horses my friend amelia is singing, shes holding a $20 microphone, no headphones, just singing it with me holding the lyrics in front of her pointing to the words. she didnt know the song before she sang it, so her performance has a vulnerable and almost na ve quality. after, i put her vocals on an old 1/8ö tape machine and re-recorded them back into the song. i wanted them to sound as if they were recorded 50 years ago... including remixes from gui boratto, apparat, and empyrean...
after only two releases on 7even recordings f has already made huge waves on the scene with his unique sculpted approach to dubstep and techno.
now he is back with a cut which offers a glimpse at a different side to his productions, dub techno styled a-side >epilogue< comes correct, displaying what is clearly a long time love and appreciation of this music. clean production and atmospheric textures create the backdrop for a distant beat which drills into the psyche, making for a deep 4/4 journey trawling through the late night in a smoky haze.
on the b-side, ramadanman weighs in with a rework which absolutely slays. you could call it garage, you could call it dub-tech, but this track is so fresh, we re sure it ll have the funky house heads on their hands and knees as much as the dubstep crowd, dark as hell too - a total crossover. shit is tight, yo!
already supported by mary anne hobbs and rob booth amongst others, this release also featured in the 7even mix for the experimental show on bbc radio one in january 2009.
canadian house legend jay tripwire brings forth his 1st full ep on tonality an infectious stripped down slice of riddem and dub, this will appeal to the modern daylovers of burial, basic channel, prescription and innervisions. remixes come from bearweasel who have had remixes and trax out on labels like supernature, tsuba, murmur, viva, 8 bit & bloop & deep house dons rurals whose label peng is known worldwide for quality house music. dj support marlon d, nomumbah, osunlade, laurent garnier...
nice price deal !!! released in 1992, its most popular versions were the ones by l.t.j. luca trevisi ( ltj xperience) and dj art. the tune has been a floorfiller all over the world, despite its downtempo rhythm. tamekas voice was in its early days, she then became famous thanks to living joy, reaching no.1 in the uk charts. this new treatment (the first one since 1992) is care of the mysterious super value team. check this out...

this summer beni will continue to reign the dancefloor supreme with a new monster slab of black plastic, maximus featuring vocals from the mighty sam sparro. who put the fun in acid-funk you ask? the answer is: beni did. a low-slung exercise in dark and dirty arpeggiated sleaze, maximus marries a sparse bubble-groove that creeps up behind you and licks your ear with a very purple vocal performance by sparro to devastating effect. the resulting track is something akin to kiss-era prince and friends dirty dancing at a toga party while ancient rome burns down around them. on the flipside beni and nicky night time give maximus a night-time re-dub rubdown, taking the track away from the creepy funk freak and towards a straighter slammer jammer, favouring blatant dancefloor manipulation over the subtle and the sexy. also featured (and included on the next kitsune maison 7 installment) is fringe element, which encapsulates the feeling of surfing on a shooting star like never before, with beni sitting proudly at the controls. an electronic orchestra of descending basslines, vocoder snippets, bleeps and acid squeaks, fringe element caps off another compelling chapter in benis lifelong voyage through dance. after the cover of his first ep my love sees you made by geneviÞve gauckler, his new 12 is illustrated by french artist andre.
one of the great aspects of the endlessly varying bass music soundwave is the way it seems able, even compelled, to fuse antecedant styles and genres to itself. in the most innovative hands, influences from last month are absorbed and reworked as smoothly as those from last century, and creativity sparks brightest when the marriage of form and function takes place beyond recognised boundaries? and it?s from that unrestricted zone that uk producer o-dessa emerges. opening with an initial resemblance in sound to the same plaintive blue air of burial, as these tracks resonate deeper in the mind, it becomes clear that this sonic affinity is merely a veil beneath which a new heart beats. the rhythms lurking below the bassline in ?deeper? are like some undiscovered amalgam of old skool hardcore and something you might hear on the latest dirty south mixtape, which somehow manage to defy sense and co-exist in a driving and breathtaking way. mournful mariachi horns and a plunging dub bassline intermingle in a desolate approximation of sergio leone?s western soundtracks, while reedy flutes and distant female voices build a swirling vapour through which skittering woodblocks and metallic ticks raise an anxious sense of motion. anchored by a vast, cone-melting sub-bass undertow, ?deeper? s treasures are buried well below the surface. the juxtapositional subtle-tear-out nature of o-dessa?s production is even more apparent in ?million dollarz?, which reveals itself in stages to be a gradual descent into layers of tweaked amen breaks, but with a grandeur unlike anything previously heard, even though that drum pattern has already been chopped countless ways over the years. it?s not until midway through its five-and-a-half minutes that the famous phased snares rise from the dense banks of atmospherics, but when they do, a moment of blurred euphoria hits and the tune bursts into colourful life. this 12¬ is the first broadcast of many more to come from o-dessa, as - like many have in their own way before and still more strive to do so now - he embarks on his individual journey in the continual reinvention of bass music. instant thrill junkies won?t find their fix in these grooves, but followers of the path less travelled will recognise many signs pointing the way to a rich future.
faze action release their latest single taken from the new album which is out now , >i wanna dancver< has been described as like a lost disco classic from 1979 , >its the sort of tune you if you were digging in the crates and came across it you would want to release it as a re edit<. this breezy summer disco classic featuring the vocals of mary moore has already been receiving huge support from a wide selection of djs including dave lee (joey negro)on his recent australian tour, pete herbert (reverse 68) and many more. radio is also getting behind it with plays on bbc and already receiving plays off the album on the ministry of sound radio courtesy of ross allen, the 12 inch also includes a disco rock dub mix which has added pianos and a pulsating bass line aimed more for the after hours party and a reflex mix which includes a more early eighties boogie bass line. watch out for it at a festival near you this summer
the second installment from the classic drum machine trilogy. more obvious than its predecessor detroit 808, classic 909 revamps the vintage tr-909 drums, as well as some old school sounds and musical changes. scott even adds a >reprise< a word the newbies might not know
man of the moment joris voorn deliver his interpretation of wigald bonings kobra dance transforming the original up tempo jazz song into an exhilarating quincy jones meets nuphonic 2.0 disco tune. sheer bliss heavenly disco-dance. ooooo aahhh aaahhh! the original is taken from wigald bonings album jet set jazz. the original and the whole album by this famous german tv entertainer was co produced by christian prommer and roberto di gioia (marsmobil). on the flip side you ll find scandinavians dream team ost & kjex abducting the kobra dance to a very nice funky noisy eerie clickety clack electronic atmosphere. last but not least a top dub version of the joris voorn interpretation should please the floors all over.
big love go from strength to strength next up for them is up n coming french producer romain curtis teams up with seamus haji and rising swedish star awa on vocals for this sublime track that should do the biznizz this summer. romains club mix has an infectious feel and teases the chorus vocal to crowd-pleasing results. seamus hajis vocal mix rushes straight to the top of the anthemometer whilst his dub goes deeper and tuffer with a slight tribal edge. all round dirty/techy/funker filthy rich really goes for the peak time slot making great use of the vocal for light relief
for the latest soulful installment from nysoul records we have called upon the incredible talents of some of the best house music producers in the game: karizma (r2, defected, basement boys), the fanatix (bbe, soul heaven, sfere) & ceramic (broadcite, unique ). they each have given the killer broken beat track >believe in something< by mr bongos greymatter the house treatment. this incredible song is refitted as a 4/4 banger and has already been rocking tastemaker dancefloors around the world. karizma strips the vocal down and maximizes the percussive elements in his mix, whilst both the fanatix & ceramic lay down lush instrumentation and keys, pushing the uplifting vocals to the forefront of their respective interpretations. support from the likes of osunlade, phil asher, eddy meets yannah, dj disciple, kev beadle, simbad, ian friday, dj romain, aaron ross, neil pierce, marlon d, master kev, souled...
official release for molto records of one of the most appreciated tunes ( said by main underground intl djs). vocal inserts & essential involving rhythmic!!!!
late 2008 discos capablanca invited eric d. clark and traxx (nation) to dj at a label party. eric ended up singing live over traxx beats. doing so in a daze, originally an unreleased instrumental by traxx and beau wanzer, evolved into the final version you hear here, combining 808 sounds and a passionate vocal delivery, with the rough and gritty edges still intact.
after debuting with us last year with his >finally e.p<, canadian wunderkid glenn morrison returns with remixes of one of the tracks from that release in the form of the >orange glow ep<. as far as remix packages goes we happen to think this is a very special one, as we have been able to get the talents of not one, but two heavyweight producers to put their own touches on glenns original. robert babicz and charlie may are both on remix duty here and boy have they done us and themselves proud

besides the sublime original version, the >bloodstream ep< also features three exclusive new mixes, each teasing out the songs grace and power in vivid and unexpected ways. the berlin-based producer and remixer henrik schwarz, one of germanys most respected djs, brings his trademark love of jazz and deep house to two separate versions.
schwarz s club mix re-engineers the track as a sleek dance tune, speeding up chris vocal into a restless, nervy, emotionally naked torch song. his dub version, meanwhile, builds into a hypnotic instrumental collage of bubbling beats, twinkling pianos and elastic basslines. at over seven minutes long, not a second is wasted.
by contrast, the chic parisian re-edit maestro pilooski strips the track down into a cubist collage of rhythmic throbs and sparkles, with a staccato piano melody pulsing through it like a heartbeat. it s a playful and vibrant fusion, where soul-baring yorkshire poetry meets sleek french disco chic.
spencer product is back after his debut mix cd product. this time he delivers a party anthem we bite with razor sharp remixes from londons tronik youth and nyc darlings designer drugs. we bite, named after one of spencers classic lower east side sleezefests is an ode to honest to goodness late night debauchery. its all about downtown basements, pbr, dirty sex, cocaine and vomit...what more do you need. spencers original is an overdriven distorted electro rock affair while designer drugs clean it up a bit for the late night electro beatdowns. tronik youth keep things very 80s new wave disco with heavy reverbs on the drums, cheap synths and vocoders all the way...if you cant get a trip in to new york this year just close your eyes and this record will take you there.
